The Blanket for minmooch
It is so completely stunning and I am truly overwhelmed with the amount of thought, work and love that has gone in to each and every stitch. The colours are just amazing and the ideas that are the embodiment of my wonderful Will are just incredible. I tried not to cry too much yesterday but each time I look at it it brings tears to my eyes – tears that strangers can show such love and thought to another person. My Will would have loved it, he would be smiling at all the things that are/were just ‘him’. I keep looking at it and seeing different things each time. And it is so tactile – each square feels different.
It is beyond wonderful and I know that it will comfort me on good and bad days.
Thank you so much to each and everyone of you xxxxxx

The Woolly Hug for DutchOma
Our original thread for lovely DutchOma is here.
And now…it is here. And I’m totally gobsmacked, I don’t know what to say. Pistey spent a lot of time putting labels on as many squares as she could remember or find out from the thread.
It is so beautiful, thank you very much. It is inadequate but what else can you say? Thank you each and every one of you. Thank you to the people who learned to knit or crochet just for this blanket. Thank you to the people I know, and the people I had never heard of. Thank you to Pistey, who brought me the blanket after she had crocheted it together.
Thank you.

A Blanket for CritterPants
Hello you kind and generous hearted people, my woolly hug arrived tonight. It is absolutely gorgeous and huge and snuggly. It’s the nicest thing anyone has done for us, and MrC and I are just so incredibly grateful. We’re (very) cautiously expecting James’s little brother or sister next summer, and hoping that we can wrap him or her up, if/when he/she arrives safely, in all the love and warmth that went into every stitch. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for spending time and effort and love on making this beautiful heirloom for us. We are truly forever grateful.

The Woolly Hug for SupermansBigRedBottleofSpirits.
Our original thread is here. Thinking of beautiful baby Summer x
My mum and my lovely older daughter – she’s 9 now – opened it in the slowest manner imaginable just drinking it in. Tears flowed as we felt the rush of love and kindness flow from every single segment, my mum left us alone and we spread it out – it’s huge! – and discussed the pictures and patterns, the colours and styles, how it embodies Summer perfectly the whole entire beautiful amazing blanket I could kiss each and every one of you who donated, crocheted, knitted etc this amazing piece of artwork for us. Dp isn’t ready to look yet, he’s broken too badly inside right now with Sums birthday round the corner and ds god love the terror I’m not ready to let his gorgeous wee hands near it as he’s always covered in playdough/paint/lollypop stickiness – to be 2 again ?? – I adore it and I know dp will, it is a pure statement of love I’ll never forget and does my Sum proud. You are all amazing thank you xx
