The Woolly Hug for SupermansBigRedBottleofSpirits.
Our original thread is here. Thinking of beautiful baby Summer x
My mum and my lovely older daughter – she’s 9 now – opened it in the slowest manner imaginable just drinking it in. Tears flowed as we felt the rush of love and kindness flow from every single segment, my mum left us alone and we spread it out – it’s huge! – and discussed the pictures and patterns, the colours and styles, how it embodies Summer perfectly the whole entire beautiful amazing blanket I could kiss each and every one of you who donated, crocheted, knitted etc this amazing piece of artwork for us. Dp isn’t ready to look yet, he’s broken too badly inside right now with Sums birthday round the corner and ds god love the terror I’m not ready to let his gorgeous wee hands near it as he’s always covered in playdough/paint/lollypop stickiness – to be 2 again ?? – I adore it and I know dp will, it is a pure statement of love I’ll never forget and does my Sum proud. You are all amazing thank you xx

The Blanket for Team Survival
….can I just say a very heartfelt and massive thank you to everybody who contributed in any way to our amazing TeamSurvival Woolly Hug. It is a work of art and a thing of true beauty. The boys and I have been loving sitting under it and keep finding new things every time. There are a lot of ‘Wow!”s and “Looook!”s!! I will try and add a photo that I have taken of the boys sitting under it. I promise that we will treasure it always. It is a very positive thing to have come out of our difficulties and is lovely to know that so many people have thought of us during its creation.
Thank you, from all three of us.xx

The Blanket for Daisydotandgertie
Welsh born MrD was a horticulturalist, he loved all flowers, particularly spring flowers, sweet peas and roses, he also loved spots and stripes. The link to daisydotandgertie’s original thread is here. Thinking of her beloved DH X
Thank you all so, so much.
My woolly hug arrived yesterday and I have alternated between being in floods of tears and feeling very comforted ever since.
It is the most beautiful thing – love just oozes out of every inch of it and the talent that has gone into making it is incredible. I wish I could show it to MrD – he would love it. The detail, the flowers, the Labradors and the sheep! The stripes and spots and just plain cleverness are glorious.
I wish I’d been strong enough to come on here yesterday and thank you all, but I wasn’t. I can’t articulate how much comfort this woolly thing has given me – something created by strangers who made the time to support me. I am moved beyond words and am very, very honoured to have it.
Thank you.
