Just wanted to say that our wonderful blanket arrived this morning. DS and I think it is so special, he loved looking at all the squares and remembering things about his Daddy.

Thank you so much for the lovely quilt, I really like the colours and the individual squares have so much work in. It arrived yesterday, whilst I was at work, though really wanting to be at the funeral of a very dear friend I met on mumsnet. So a strange day with very mixed feelings. I am looking forward to spreading the quilt out properly at the weekend, I will be cleaning the house and putting up my decorations and can guard it from the cat (!).
The good days are generally more numerous than the bad now, though odd little things still set me off. This Christmas feels more normal than last year when I think I was still taking it all in. Wishing a Happy Christmas and New Year to all, love Jane x

I wanted to let you know that the parcel arrived about an hour ago. The girls and I have been mesmerised by the Woolly Hug since opening it. So many beautiful squares, we can’t begin to choose favourites. It’s truly a work of art. I have read through the cards and am processing the kindness of strangers.
I still post on MN from time to time, but under another name. I shall always be thankful for the friends I made there. Love and thanks being sent your way xxx

I would really like to thank all the ladies who helped to make the blanket, I heard that there were about 75 people who contributed to making the blanket and that really touched me, to know that there were that many people who each spent some of their time to make such a beautiful blanket. My younger brothers and I really enjoyed it on our way down to Wexford, it kept us comfortable and warm for the whole trip. I am even using the blanket right now. My mum is very serious about keeping it clean but I don’t blame her. But anyway I am very very grateful for everything everyone has done. Thanks for making such a beautiful blanket everyone, I greatly appreciate it.”

Just had a lovely visit from Ratherbeonthepiste who brought me the beautiful blanket that you lovely people have made for me. It was lovely to me her, she’s a really lovely lady
I’ve just sat and looked through my blanket again and I cannot believe all the work that must have gone into it, and all the thoughts, it means such an incredible amount to me. It’s totally gorgeous. The colours are wonderful and the squares are all so beautiful and vibrant. I love every single one of them. There are butterflies, teddies, stars, angel, cat, initials of all the children, flowers, leaves and so many amazing colours; I’m sure I’ll be noticing new things all the time
Thank you all so, so much. It is truly wonderful and will get many cuddles. For those that might not know, I’m 30 weeks pregnant today with another little girl so my intention is to use it for her also, which I hope is ok (fingers crossed all going well). I’m due to have her in 6/7 weeks time
It’s not been an easy time, far from it, so this has come at a most appropriate point for me.
I’ll get some photos taken later on hopefully and upload them as well. I cannot get over how beautiful it is, it feels amazing too, so soft. Thank you all again and thanks to the lovely Ratherbeonthepiste for bringing it to me. xxx
